1989

Jochum Bierma starts his stairclimbing company in Linz

1991

MTK development started

The MTK capable of carrying 190kg or 310 kg is developed

1998

Liftkar SAL developed

Aluminium constructed machine developed which is lighter and faster than the MTK

2003

SANO UK Powered Stairclimbers
started in Ipswich

Brian Simmons, Peter Simmons and Jochum  Bierma set up the standalone sales office for the UK in Ipswich

2005

Liftkar PT launches

Mobility stairclimber for people launches. Models includes integrated seats and the ability to carry a wheelchair

2007

Liftkar HD launches

The HD with a load capacity of 330kg and electronic brakes is launched

2015

Launch of PTR, track based stairclimber at the Naidex show

Carry wheelchairs the easy way

2018

HD model now available in 360 kg lifting capacity, replacing 330 kg model

Further development to the SANO Stairclimber range to be announced soon
